Chairman and Chief
Philippe Tromp joined the Board of Traccr Limited in April 2010 and is the Chairman and Chief Executive of the Company. Mr Tromp has over 25 years experience in the credit markets and was most recently CEO of Financial Security Assurance UK Ltd and Assured Guaranty UK Ltd, the UK subsidiaries of a publicly traded monoline insurance company and one of the largest underwriters of credit derivatives. He previously worked as a Managing Director and Co-Head of the Asset Finance Group at Bankers Trust Company and started his investment banking career in 1986 with PaineWebber, Inc. in New York.
In 2006 and 2007, Mr Tromp was elected Chairman of the European Securitisation Forum, the trade association representing all major participants in the European securitisation market.
Mr Tromp holds an MBA from Columbia Graduate School of Business, New York, and is a Graduate of Ecole Nationale Superieure des Mines in France.
Founder and Director
Farooq Jaffrey founded Traccr Limited in May 2008 and was the Chief Executive of the Company since inception until January 2013. He now serves on the Board of Directors.
Before founding Traccr, Mr Jaffrey worked at leading investment banking firms, including Merrill Lynch & Co, Bankers Trust Company and WestLB. He was previously head of Business Development at CreditTrade, where he was instrumental in establishing the structured credit brokerage business and latterly in marketing CDS electronic trading platforms to buy-side and sell-side market participants. He assisted in developing a clearinghouse model for credit derivatives which was subsequently implemented by a successor company of CreditTrade (after its merger in 2006 with Creditex).
Mr Jaffrey holds an MBA from Columbia Graduate School of Business, New York, and a BSC from the School of Engineering & Applied Sciences at Columbia University.
Patrick Booth-Clibborn is the Founder and Chief Executive Officer of Marechale Capital, an investment banking and corporate finance boutique that raises capital for both quoted and unquoted high growth companies and funds.
Mr Booth-Clibborn has more than 22 years corporate advisory and broking experience and has led projects which have raised over £800m of equity. He started his career at James Capel & Co, subsequently working for ANZ Merchant Bank, Guinness Mahon, Noble and KBC Peel Hunt. As a Director of Noble & Co, Mr Booth-Clibborn was instrumental in building its London based advisory and equities franchise latterly as Head of Broking. Mr Booth-Clibborn specialises in advising companies in the leisure, infrastructure and clean energy sectors.
René Mouchotte is a Non-Executive Director and Senior Advisor to Traccr Ltd. He has more than 35 years experience in the credit markets, including over 15 years spent in credit derivatives and securitization.
Mr Mouchotte was most recently Managing Director, Global Head of Credit Portfolio Management at Calyon, where he actively managed the credit risk of one of the largest banking books in Europe, and was in charge of a proprietary investment book. During that time, he was Board Member of the International Association of Credit Portfolio Managers (IACPM) and Chairman of the Board of Eurotitrisation, a servicer of French securitization vehicles controlled by Credit Agricole, BNPP, Natixis, and AXA. Previously, he was Managing Director, Global Head of Securitization at Credit Agricole Indosuez. Mr Mouchotte started his banking career at Banque Indosuez.
He is also a Non-Executive Director of Eurotitrisation.
Mr Mouchotte holds a MS in Engineering from Ecole Nationale Superieure des Mines, a MBA from Columbia University Graduate School of Business, a MA in Finance and Economics from Institut d’Etudes Politiques de Paris and a Post-Master ‘s degree in Economics from Paris University.
Head of Compliance
and Regulatory Affairs
Mr. Andrew Reid is Head of Compliance and Regulatory Affairs and is the Compliance Officer of Traccr Ltd.
Mr. Reid was most recently Head of Origination for Structured Credit Holdings (SCH), a credit derivatives product company and CEO of Structured Credit Advisers Limited, SCH’s UK operating company. Prior to that, he was head of European operations for Radian Financial Products’ credit derivatives group – which he established. Previously, he was head of Risk Management at Lazard, where he developed the risk function responsible for credit, market and operational risk. During this time he worked closely with outside regulators in particular with the Bank of England and Financial Services Authority to implement the requirements of the developing regulatory regime.
Mr. Reid earned a Bachelor’s degree in History from University College, London, a post graduation qualification in Banking from the North London Polytechnic and an MBA from the City University, London.
Thomas W. Jasper
Mr. Jasper is Senior Advisor to Traccr Ltd. Most recently, he served as CEO and a director of Primus Guaranty, Ltd, a company which he joined in 1999 and led over the past decade. During his tenure, Primus established the first credit derivatives company (CDPC), an innovative business model for selling credit protection to global financial institutions, expanded into asset management and became a New York Stock Exchange-listed company. At its peak, Primus managed a $24 billion credit swap portfolio and $3.7 billion in structured credit assets.
Prior to joining Primus, Mr. Jasper served for 17 years as a key executive of Salomon Brothers, Inc and its successor companies. While at Salomon, he co-founded the International Swaps and Derivatives Association (ISDA) and served as its first Co-Chairman. Mr. Jasper currently serves of the Boards of the Blackstone GSO Senior Loan Fund, Blackstone/GSO Long-Short Credit Income Fund and three non-profits. Recently, he joined the Advisory Board of PRIME Finance, a specialized institution for dispute settlement in the OTC derivatives market based in The Hague. In 2003, he was elected to the Risk Hall of Fame.
